SOLGENSYS is the only project with a Bulgarian coordinator among a total of 81 appplications funded by the “Marie Skłodowska-Curie” Programme

Out of a total of 363 projects submitted under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Programme to the European Commission in 2025, 81 were successful. SOLGENSYS is the only one with a Bulgarian coordinator – Center of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology.
The research within the SOLGENSYS project will focus on identifying and validating candidate genes responsible for stress tolerance and improved fruit quality in over 600 tomato lines.
“CPSBB is also participating as a partner organization in another project that received funding under the Programme. Its acronym is FRUITFUL, and the coordinator is based in Ireland,” highlights Dr. Veselin Petrov, Head of the “Funding” Department at CPSBB and one of the three coordinators of SOLGENSYS, in an interview with Az-buki.
We thank the Az-buki media team for their interest in the work of CPSBB!
