CPSBB with two nominations for awards of the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency of the Republic of Bulgaria

CPSBB has been nominated in two categories at the inaugural Annual Awards for Good Practices by the National Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (NEAA) under the theme “Science – Higher Education – Business and Society”. The initiative included a total of 137 good practices from 14 higher education institutions and 4 scientific organizations.
CPSBB was nominated in the following categories:
“Good Partnership between Higher Education/Scientific Organization and Business (Employer/s)” – for the long-term strategic collaboration with the Irish biotechnology company BioAtlantis, built on a clear vision for knowledge transfer, human potential development, and the creation of a sustainable model for interaction between science and business. The partnership involves joint research on the molecular mechanisms by which seaweed-based biostimulants modulate plants’ responses to abiotic stress, participation in international projects (CropPrime, RESIST, BOOSTER), conducting training and internships for young scientists and postdocs, as well as organizing international scientific forums.
“Good Practice for Engaging Students and Young Researchers” – for the innovative strategy of CPSBB to involve PhD students in Biotechnology as active researchers with employment contracts, participation in international projects, and access to state-of-the-art scientific infrastructure. This approach provides stability, professional development, and a real opportunity for integration into the scientific and industrial environments.
Both nominations are a recognition of CPSBB’s contribution to building a sustainable connection between science, higher education, and business, as well as the active role of the Center in supporting young researchers and innovations in biotechnology.
