Scientists from CPSBB participated in the International Conference “Kliment’s Days

Scientists from the Plant Cell Biotechnology Department at CPSBB participated in the International Conference on Natural Science and Biotechnology – “Kliment’s Days 2025”, held in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The event was organized by the Biological Faculty of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and gathered over 200 participants from academia and industry. The conference featured a rich scientific program, including keynote lectures by leading experts, interactive discussions, poster sessions, and numerous opportunities for networking and idea exchange.
The main topics covered were Cell Biology and Physiology, Genetics and Bioinformatics, Ecology and Environmental Protection, Microbiology and Biotechnology, Molecular Biology and Immunology, Plant Biotechnology and Phytochemistry.
As an invited speaker, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Liliya Mihaylova delivered a lecture titled “Biotechnology, Metabolomics and Molecular Pharmacology: A Powerful Synergy for an Accelerated Bioactive Leaf Finding”.
With poster presentations, Dr. Martina Savova, Monika Todorova, Iva Stoykova, and Biser Binev shared recent findings from research projects related to obesity and metabolic diseases, conducted within the department.
CPSBB’s participation highlighted the institute’s active role in advancing cutting-edge biotechnology research and fostering collaborations with leading scientific organizations both in Bulgaria and internationally.
