T4Europe is an alliance for strategic cooperation between universities and multiple stakeholders from the surrounding regions. Its main goal is to develop a single ecosystem for knowledge and innovation. Among the alliance’s missions is the development of a joint research and innovation agenda and a strategy to attract and retain researchers, empower individuals with access to science and cultivate the next wave of highly skilled European knowledge entrepreneurs.
The round table was held in the “Peyo Yavorov” Regional Library of Burgas. University delegates, local and international policymakers, as well as business representatives from Germany, Spain, Estonia, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Poland, Italy, Lithuania, and Ukraine attended. They shared various perspectives regarding the role of universities and research organisations in regional development.
Prof. Kazashka presented CPSBB’s ongoing research projects (NatGenCrop, HD4A, Booster, BELIS, CropPrime, Motivation, Talentify, Transformations), highlighting the organisation’s unique role and contribution to the development of the research and academic landscape in Bulgaria.
Meetings were also held with representatives of partnering universities within the Transform4 Europe alliance. The main discussion topics were the possibilities for joint project activities, the exchange of scientists and doctoral students, and CPSBB’s participation in a project proposal under the EU’s “ERA Talents” program.
