CPSBB is the second largest Horizon 2020 beneficiary in Bulgaria
Horizon 2020 is the largest EU Framework program for research and innovation up to date. With a budget of nearly 80 billion EUR for seven years period, the framework set high standards in the field of science and innovations. There are more than 200 Horizon 2020 beneficiaries (universities, research institutes, and companies) in Bulgaria, which have one or more EU projects from the framework program.
The Center of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology is holding the prestigious second place in the Top 15 Bulgarian beneficiaries under Horizon 2020 program. The hard efforts of the CPSBB team prove fruitful as the Center leaves behind institutions like the Medical University of Varna and the Technical University of Sofia. Other PlantaSYST beneficiaries like The Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, “Maritsa” Vegetable Crops Research Institute, and Bulgarian Academy of Science’s Institute of Microbiology also rank among the top of the chart.
