Summary
This worshop introduces how to use Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data in the genome study.
It consists of three parts and includes:
Day 1: Introduction to the Genome Assembly. Lecturer Dr. Zdravka Ivanova.
- Introduction to Genome Assembly (Using Velvet).
- Optimized de Bruijn Graph assemblies (using the Velvet Optimizer and SPAdes ).
Day 2: De novo transcriptome reconstruction with RNA-Seq. Lecturer Dr. Vesselin Baev.
- De novo transcriptome reconstruction with RNA-Seq.
- Small Non-coding RNA Clustering using BlockClust.
Day 3: Machine Learning. Lecturer Dr. Georgi Minkov.
- Classification in Machine Learning.
- Interval-Wise Testing for OMICS data.
Exercises demonstrating the presented technologies are provided for each topic.
