ISF World Seed Congress 2020, 8 – 10 June

The World Seed Congress is the main event of the International Seed Federation (ISF), which promotes the ISF vision and mission to support sustainable agriculture and food security, as well as to promote plant breeding and innovation in seeds.

CPSBB, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tsanko Gechev and Mr. Petar Kazakov, participated in the ISF WSC 2020, along with leading biotechnology, vegetable bereeding, and seed producing companies, such as BASF, Computomics, Corteva Agriscience, Incotech, Syngenta, and many other leading companies in the field.

The three-day Congress was opened by the ISF President Eduard Fito and the ISF Secretary General Michael Keller. Major topics included the current challenges caused by Covid-19 pandemic, the future of the seed industry, and the future innovation landscape after Covid-19.
