Position: Head of Department

Ivan Dyulgerov leads the Information Technologies Department at the Center of Plant Systems Biology and Biotechnology (CPSBB). He is responsible for defining and implementing the Center’s IT strategy, ensuring the security, scalability, and efficiency of its digital infrastructure.

His expertise covers:

Strategic IT management – planning, developing, and supervising the Center’s technological roadmap in alignment with research and administrative needs.
Infrastructure & network operations – overseeing servers, virtualization environments, storage systems, and network security.
Cybersecurity & compliance – developing and enforcing security policies, risk management, and data protection strategies.
Systems integration & automation – streamlining workflows, managing Active Directory, and optimizing server-client environments.
Web & digital services – administration of the Center’s web platforms, online services, and digital communication systems.
Support for research & innovation – enabling advanced computing resources, data management solutions, and collaborative platforms for scientists and staff.
Ivan combines strong technical knowledge with leadership in managing complex IT infrastructures. His work ensures CPSBB operates on a secure, modern, and future-proof technological foundation.
