This project aims at exploring the molecular and genetic mechanisms of action of a brown algae biostimulant, which determine its high efficiency in protecting plants against stress and increasing the crops yields.
The obtained results will potentially help optimize the application of biostimulants in the cultivation of economically important crops. The project will contribute to innovations that will limit the application of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture. It will increase the efficiency of agricultural practices and reduce the environmental footprint of the agricultural sector worldwide.
