CPSBB took part in the conference AGRO 4.0

The Director of CPSBB, Prof. Dr Tsanko Gechev and Petar Kazakov, Marketing Expert, participated in the first edition of the conference for digitalization of the Bulgarian agriculture – AGRO 4.0. The event was attended by the Minister of Agriculture Yavor Gechev, the Minister of Innovation and Growth Alexander Pulev and the Chairman of the European Digital Innovation Hub for Agriculture AgroHub.BG Svetlana Boyanova.

The conference took place on 29 September 2022 in Plovdiv and gathered Bulgarian government representatives, scientific researchers, farmers, agricultural producers and technology companies in order to discuss potential possibilities for the successful development of a modern Bulgarian agriculture based on digital technologies.

CPSBB participated in the event as a partner of the project AgroDigiRise initiated by AgroHub.BG – the Bulgarian Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) for agriculture and food industry. It aims at bringing together knowledge and resources for the agricultural and food industry in order to provide solutions to its problems and meet its needs.

The partners of AgroHub.BG are companies, scientific organizations and institutions that have proven their expertise in the fields of agriculture and technology. AgroHub.BG will play a strategic role in building skills and finding innovative modern solutions for the Bulgarian farmers and will update them with the latest machinery and software solutions in the agricultural sector.

The CPSBB will contribute to the project with the scientific expertise of all researchers who work in the Center, as well as with the unequaled for Eastern Europe research complex and greenhouses in Plovdiv, equipped with state-of-the-art technology.
