Valentina's early work as an intern at WPUT (Szczecin, Poland) focused on the identification of novel dwarfing genes and QTL mapping in rye (Secale cereale L.). Her current lab is proactively involved in molecular genetics and virology research. The main projects are focused on the establishment of germplasm collection, identification and exploitation of the most promising candidates via marker-assisted selection and molecular analyses of resistance genes.
